Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Bob Ward Endowed Photography Scholarship Bob Ward was a UW-Stout faculty member. The scholarship recognizes outstanding achievement in the photography area and memorializes Bob Ward’s tradition and style. The annual award is $100. Abigayle Gardiner Violette Parsons Weeks Endowed Scholarship Violette Parsons Weeks received a B.S. degree in home economics in 1930 and a M.S. degree in home economics education in 1941. She taught at Milwaukee Vocational School for more than 43 years. The scholarship is awarded to a student with financial need who is enrolled in one of the following majors: dietetics; food science and technology; hotel, restaurant and tourism management; human development and family studies; early childhood education; family and consumer sciences education; vocational rehabilitation; psychology. The annual award is $1,700. Presley Nuutinen Charles P. Wegner Memorial Scholarship Charles Wegner, a 1917 Stout graduate, taught industrial arts and mechanical drawing in Minnesota for 38 years. The scholarship for a technology education major was established by his daughter and her husband, Caroline and Hank Tourville. The annual award is $400. Rex Meikle
