Deborah Douglas Wesolek Scholarship Deborah Douglas Wesolek graduated from UW-Stout in 1970 with an undergraduate degree in home economics education and a master’s degree in 1984. She taught family and consumer education in the Chippewa Falls Unified School District for 21 years and supervised many FCE student teachers from UW-Stout during that time. This scholarship was established to assist a student in the area of family and consumer education as he/she embarks on the student teaching experience. It is to be awarded to a deserving student (GPA of 3.0 or higher) and with a well expressed need for financial assistance related to travel and other living expenses required for successful completion of his/her student teaching experience. The annual award is $500. Jessica Daley John Wesolek Golf Enterprise Management Scholarship Dr. Wesolek received his B.S. and M.S. from UW-Stout and completed his PhD from the University of Northern Colorado. He returned to Stout in 1972 to serve as the Director of the Vocational Development Center and his last ten years on campus he served as dean of the College of Human Development. This scholarship was developed to support a student of the Golf Enterprise Management program that expresses a clear and ambitious vision for golf leadership. It is to be awarded to a deserving student (average GPA of 3.0 for first 3 semesters), with a well-expressed financial need and currently enrolled in the Golf Enterprise Management Degree. The annual award is $500. Rachael Leystra WestAIR Annual Scholarship WestAIR Inc. is a Minnesota corporation owned and operated by 1986 Stout graduate Lisa Lynch, and her husband, Joe. Their daughter McCall is a 2017 UW-Stout graduate. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior Retail Merchandising or Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management major who is a Minnesota or Wisconsin resident with a 3.0 or above GPA.The annual award is $500.
