2020 Scholarship Reception Booklet

Applied Science Excellence Scholarship This scholarship was established through gifts from faculty and staff of the applied science program. The scholarship is awarded to an applied science major of sophomore standing or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.25. The recipient must also demonstrate extraordinary involvement with the applied science program. The annual award is $1,000. Kaitlyn Jennings Margaret and Herman Arneson Memorial Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established in honor and memory of Margaret and Herman Arneson. Both believed strongly in the value of a college education and in making a difference in the lives of people. Margaret taught at Menomonie High School for 20 years. Herman retired from UW-Stout’s biology department in 1976. He was a faculty member who loved Stout, his subject matter and his students. The scholarship is awarded to an applied science major with a 3.0 or higher GPA and financial need. Demonstrated leadership in student or civic activities is also required. The annual award is $1,000 Jasmyn Collins Mehar and Savitri Arora International Student Scholarship Mehar Arora, a retired professor, who worked in the Industrial Management Department at UW-Stout and his wife, Savitri Arra established this scholarshp. It is for international students who are manufacturing engineering majors with a 3.75 or higher GPA and have financial need. Arzoumanian/Drake Endowed Scholarship Charlotte Drake ‘40 was Linda Luck Arzoumanian’s high school home economics teacher and special mentor. Drake recommended that Arzoumanian attend Stout State University upon her graduation from Baraboo High School. Combining her respect for Charlotte Drake and her commitment to higher education, Arzoumanian, who graduated from Stout in 1964, has established this scholarship for a Baraboo High School graduate.
