Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Todd Boppel/Art and Design Global Studies Endowed Scholarship A scholarship has been established in honor and memory of Todd Boppel. Todd joined the faculty of the newly created Art Department in 1964. He knew and respected many art forms and encouraged his students and colleagues to do the same. This scholarship honors the driving force in Todd that enabled him to produce comprehensive and meticulously developed art work even as he was equally committed to teaching. Boppel retired in 1999 and passed away in 2000. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior with a major in the art and design area. The annual award is $600. Skyla Castner-Seifert Dominic J. Bordini and Janette Burns Bordini Endowed Memorial Scholarship This scholarship honors Dominic J. Bordini and his wife, Janette Burns Bordini. Dominic Bordini was a 1941 graduate of UW-Stout who retired from the directorship of the Fox Valley Technical College shortly before his death in 1983. The scholarship assists Fox Valley Technical College students continuing their education at Stout. The annual award is $500. Alexandra Jantz Borton Construction, Inc. Endowed Construction Scholarship Fund Paul Borsheim graduated from UW-Stout in 1991 with a BS in Industrial Technology and a concentration in Building Construction. Paul started Borton Construction in La Crosse, WI in 1999. He and his wife Melissa, along with the leadership team at Borton Construction, support continued education in construction related fields. Borton Construction is pleased to provide both high school and college students with scholarships for higher education through the endowments they have established with local high schools and universities. The scholarship is awarded to a sophomore, junior and senior construction majors with a 3.0 or higher GPA. The annual award is $1,000. Garett Giertuga
