2020 Scholarship Reception Booklet

Jan W. Gabrielson Memorial Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established by Ron Gabrielson in memory of his son, Jan W. Gabrielson. Jan was a 1971 UW-Stout graduate who majored in psychology with a sociology minor. Ron wishes to recognize how much Jan enjoyed his years at Stout and to provide an opportunity for other students to receive a Stout education. The scholarship is awarded to a psychology major with a GPA of 3.0 or greater and financial need. The annual award is $1,000. Adriana Aumann-Weyenberg The Gebharts served the university for many years, Dick as a professor and Shirley in the Alumni/Foundation office. Their strong belief in higher education and their wish to provide financial assistance lead them to establish a scholarship for students pursuing a master’s degree in training and human resource development. The recipient must be a Wisconsin or Minnesota resident with preference given to a student who has completed his/her undergraduate course work within the past three years. The annual award is $800. Amanda Rheinschmidt Jack Genskow Endowed Scholarship Jack Genskow was a long-time friend to the Stout Vocational Rehabilitation Institute where he was a member of the National Advisory Council to the Research and Training Center. Friends and family established the scholarship to assist promising students to attain their personal and professional goals in serving the needs of people with disabilities. The scholarship is awarded to a junior, senior or graduate vocational rehabilitation major who has a career goal in service, advocacy, research, training or leadership in rehabilitation.
