Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Larsen Family Art Scholarship This scholarship is in honor of Christina M. Larsen, a 2012 Graphic Design graduate. Christina and her family greatly appreciate the UW-Stout Art program. This award is to help offset the added expenses that Art major students encounter for supplies. The annual award is $1,000. Hallie Groeschel Herbert B. and Clara M. Koolmo Larsen Education Scholarship This scholarship was created with gifts received in celebration of the Larsen’s 65th wedding anniversary in 1993. The scholarship is awarded to an education major in the area of industrial technology or human development. The annual award is $200. Lisa Driver Arland M. and Eleanor M. Larson Endowed Manufacturing Engineering Scholarship Arland Larson worked for McDonough Manufacturing in Eau Claire during his lifetime and enjoyed designing and building machinery for the plant. In Arland’s memory, his wife, Eleanor, established this scholarship for talented students majoring in manufacturing engineering who enjoy the challenge of designing and creating. The annual award is $1,100. Kase Kleinschmidt Daniel L. and Sally J. Larson Endowed Scholarship Daniel Larson is a 1966, 1967 graduate of UW-Stout. Dan started his career in Material Handling at Jervis B. Webb in Detroit. After a few years in engineering, he moved to the Twin Cities for a position in sales, and eventually started a company designing and selling Material Handling Systems. Dan managed the company for 25 years. This endowment is a thank you to UW-Stout for a rewarding career. The scholarship is awarded to a student from Bayfield or Ashland, Wisconsin counties in need of financial assistance. The annual award is $1,100. Dayton Washeleski
