Annual and Endowed Scholarships

MBEA (Marketing and Business Education Association) Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established through a team effort of the UW-Stout MBEA chapter, marketing education alumni and faculty. The scholarship assists a marketing and business education student with a 2.75 or above GPA who has completed at least one year in the program and is involved in MBEA. The annual

Philip H. McGuirk Freshman Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship Philip H. McGuirk Freshman Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship began through the generosity of UW-Stout alums Thomas and Susan Dodson Wollwert, both 1990 grads in the hospitality program. They credited Phil McGuirk as having the most impact on their careers through his mentorship. To show their appreciation and to honor Phil, and grow the hotel, restaurant and tourism management program, Susan and Thomas provided a donation in his name. It is awarded to an incoming freshman student majoring in the hotel, restaurant and tourism management program with a high school cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and demonstrated involvement in the hospitality industry, related high school club or other community volunteerism.
