Rita Murkowski Endowed Scholarship Rita Murkowski was a 1977 UW-Stout graduate who passed away in 1991. She was employed in the packaging design field. Criteria for the scholarship includes: female student, junior or senior packaging major, 3.2 or above GPA. The annual award is $200. Anna Gray Dr. Nancy Murray Retail Merchandising and Management Scholarship This scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Nancy Murray for her tremendous impact on the students in the retail merchandising and management program. Dr. Murray’s passion for students is evident in her focus on experiential learning in order to prepare students for a successful career, her incredible dedication to the Stout Retail Association as the adviser for several years, and for her passion for the retail industry she shared with her students by planning and participating in professional events (MAGIC Tradeshow, Global Retailing Conference, Experience China, Trend Forecasting in Europe). The scholarship is awarded to a retail merchandising and management major with a 3.0 or higher GPA and who is an active member or board member of Stout Retail Association (SRA). The annual award is $1,000. Katie Lawler Ron Murray Scholarship James and Helen Murray established a scholarship in memory of their son, Ron, who graduated posthumously with high honors in graphic arts management in 1994. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior cross-media graphics management major. The annual award is $200. Taiyah Tarter Arthur M. Nakatani Endowed Education Scholarship Mrs. Kiyo Nakatani of Hawaii established this scholarship in honor of her son, Arthur, who died in 1989. Arthur received a B.S. degree in industrial education in 1971 and a M.S. degree in vocational, technical and adult education in 1972. The scholarship is awarded to education majors, freshman through senior status, with priority given to students enrolled from Hawaii. The annual awards vary.
