Russell and Lauretta Amling Scholarship The Russell and Lauretta Amling Scholarship is in appreciation of Russ’s 1966 UW-Stout MS in Industrial Education degree. This scholarship was established in gratitude of the opportunities afforded to Russ as a young student beginning his education and career. Russ credits the support and mentoring he received from his professors which allowed him to excel at teaching industrial technology. This scholarship is awarded to any Freshman with a minimum 2.5 high school GPA and in financial need. The annual award is $500. Katy Liester William and Dorothy Amthor Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established by William and Dorothy Amthor. William Amthor received his B.S. in Industrial Education from the Stout Institute in 1950 and went on to earn his Master of Science in 1955 from Stout State College, and later his Doctorate from Texas A&M in 1965. He then returned to Menomonie and taught at UW-Stout for 34 years retiring in 1989 as Professor Emeritus in the school of Industry and Technology in the Graphic Communications Department. Professor Amthor also established the first computer lab on campus, and contributed to the University and the Menomonie, WI community in numerous ways. The annual award is $1,000. Ethan Olson Fanchon A. Johnson Amundson Endowed Memorial Scholarship Elden Amundson established this scholarship in honor and memory of his wife, Fanchon A. Johnson Amundson. She received a bachelor’s degree in home economics education from UW-Stout in 1938. The scholarship is awarded to an early childhood or family and consumer sciences education major. The annual award is $1,000. Lydia Sanken Anderson Corporation Plastics Engineering Scholarship Andersen Corporation supports the advancement and growth in enrollment within the UW-Stout Plastics Engineering curriculum, and continued graduation of Plastics Engineers within the St. Croix Valley area.
