Job Searching in Handshake

Log In & Make sure your resume and profile is up-to-date:

1. Go to logins.uwstout.edu: Log in using your UW-Stout username and password 2. Never written a resume before? See page 13 of the Employment Guide to get started. 3. Pro tip: Employers are more likely to look at your profile if it’s more complete and you’ve uploaded a resume. Aim for 80% or more of your profile to be complete!

Find Co-ops, Internships, Professional Positions and More: Select Jobs 2. Use the filters to narrow down your search 3. By selecting “Save Your Search” students can have relevant positions emailed to them. 4. You can apply for many positions directly in Handshake (Select “Quick Apply”) 1.

Note: In Handshake the use of the word “internship” or “Co-op” to describe opportunities does not imply that the position has been approved for academic credit. Students seeking credit should review the Co-op & Internship program framework on page 6.
