The Honors College at the University of Wisconsin-Stout offers unique academic opportunities to complement undergraduate education. Drawing students from every major, our Honors curriculum is designed to enrich educational experiences, foster more in-depth learning and produce creative thinkers and leaders. Our University prides itself in producing highly skilled and marketable graduates, and the Honors College supplements the career-focused mission of the university by encouraging students to take intellectual risks and lead their peers in solving local and global problems. This allows students to chart new career paths and find their place in a broader world. UW-Stout’s Honors College began as the University Honors Program in 1994 and has since grown to serve over 550 students today. We are one of only three Honors Colleges within the UW System.
