Conclusion

The intention of this study was to investigate the connection between different parenting styles and the college student’s sense of personal agency. Findings revealed that promoting authoritative parenting can lead to early development of personal agency . An authoritative parenting style has been proven to be an effective means of parenting. It is also positively correlated with high self esteem, confidence, and independence, which can facilitate personal agency. References Babbie, E. (1990). Survey research methods (2 nd ed.).
