Congratulations on your acceptance to UW-Stout! This booklet, designed by students, gives you a glimpse of the services and opportunities that make up life at Stout.

Help us prepare for your arrival! Please complete your housing and dining contract. If you’re eligible to live off campus and plan to do so, complete the steps below to confirm your eligibility.

Please read each page and follow the prompts at the bottom of the screen to advance in the application process:

Step 1

Go to: www.uwstout.edu/housing-gateway • Login with your UW-Stout username and password.*

Step 2 Select applicable living option based on the residency policy. • Select Sign Housing and Dining Contract or I Want to Live Off Campus.

OR

Room selection times are based on when you sign your Housing and Dining Contract and submit your pre-payment. The earlier you complete your contract and pre-payment, the earlier your room selection time will be.

When signing your housing contract, please keep in mind the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents’ Housing Policy. Students are required to live on campus their first two years after high school, unless they are exempt from the policy below:

Those freshman and sophomore students (59 credits or less) who are not veterans, married or living with parents or legal guardians (within a 40-mile driving distance of Menomonie), shall be required to live in a university- operated residence hall.
