Help UW-Stout continue its path toward sustainability. Connect with our Sustainability Office, join a sustainability organization, volunteer at the campus garden, or participate in sustainability events.

Green Fee Student-approved funds that support sustainability initiatives across campus like solar panels or energy efficient lighting. UW-Sprout Campus Garden A garden that generates weekly boxes of produce for customers. Students can work or volunteer for free veggies. I Heart Tapwater Use bottle filling stations throughout campus to minimize plastic bottle waste. Green To Go Durable and reusable containers that make your meals from the dining facilities portable. Building Dashboard UW-Stout offers the Building Dashboard to showcase real- time energy use – in kWh, dollars spent, and CO2 emitted – by our campus buildings. Visit: uwstout.edu/building-dashboard

Bike Friendly University League of American Bicyclists have designated UW-Stout a Bike Friendly University.

Getting where you need to go.

We offer many transportation programs for students to get where they need to go.

Parking Permits

If you need to drive, parking permits are available for students. Students who don’t need a year-long permit can purchase daily and weekly parking permits.

StoutBikes Bike Share Rent a bike for a semester, year, summer, or weekend for a very low cost. All bike rentals include lights, locks, and helmets for your safety. Rentals are offered through Stout Adventures. Bike Amenities We have several bike parking options including bike racks, bike shelters, and bike lockers to secure your bike. We offer a number of fix-it stations around campus to help you pump your tires or do a quick fix.

UW-Stout Rideshare Connect with other carpoolers through our online rideboard to find or offer a ride. Local & Regional Buses Get around campus with the StoutRoute Campus Bus or hop on the Community Route Bus to get around Menomonie. All bus services are free with a UW-Stout BlueCard. Regional buses also run to Minneapolis, Madison, Milwaukee, and the MSP airport.
