Ashely Fassbender Long (’07) is customer service manager of the Healthcare & Specialty Division of PPC Flexible Packaging at the Pewaukee and Buffalo Grove, Ill. locations. Amelia Treptow Rogers (’08) is director of events and engagement at Rhode Island College. 2010s Laura Seymour Reali (’11) retired after 24 years at UnitedHealth Group/Optum. She was an instructional designer and technical writer. David Lytle (’14) retired after 41 years in the printing industry. De’Andre Jones (’16) , director of alumni engagement at Seattle University, was awarded the 2024 Mena Valdez Outstanding Mid-Level Professional Award from the NASPA Latinx/a/o Knowledge Community. Jack Zwicker (’16) is vice president of business development at Miron Construction Co. in Madison. Cassie Flackey McMahon (’17) graduated with her master’s in education and reading 316 license from Viterbo University. 2020s Stephanie Zengler (’20) is a digital content and experience coordinator at Kohl’s Corporate. Hannah Phelps (’21) is assistant coordinator in UW Stout’s Furlong Gallery. Chase Welsch (’21) is attending medical school at Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. Sarah Chojnacki (’22) is associate dean of health and sciences at Moraine Park Technical College in Fond Du Lac. Arrivals Tim Banks (’68) and wife, Jane, welcomed their second grandchild, Vera Jane, on May 25, 2023. Jon Schoenborn (’75) welcomed his 10th grandchild, Veda Rose, on Aug. 31, 2023. Kevin (’80) and Mary Goplin Wilde (’80) welcomed their first grandchild, Benjamin, on April 7, 2023. Brad (’86) and Ann Woznick Kunst (’86) welcomed their first grandchild, Josie Brielle, on Aug. 26, 2023.
Michelle Willemon Meyer (’93) published “The Trouble With Being a Childless Child,” a poetry collection in February 2024. Julie Meisch Kronabetter (’94) received the Minnesota School Nutrition Director of the Year award. Christy Stuckert (’95) is comptroller for Beacon Specialized Living facilities in Wisconsin. Kevin Gain (’96) was named Wisconsin Technical Education Teacher of the Year. Lori Strusz Elsen (’97) is global packaging solutions director at 3M. Jenny Zuege Wehmeier (’97) , culinary arts educator for Elkhorn Area School District, received the 2023 Wisconsin ProStart Teacher of the Year award from the Wisconsin Restaurant Association. Builders, received the elite Big50 award by Remodeling magazine in 2018 and served as president of the Milwaukee chapter of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry. Melvin Shepherd (’99) is pursuing a Doctor of Education in educational leadership. Andrea Uher (’99) was Skills USA Advisor of the Year in 2022 23. 2000s Kevin Stensberg (’01) is assistant vice provost of student success and residential Dawn Oler (’03) received the Fulbright U.S. Teacher Award. Josh Clark (’05) is director of operations for Bogart’s Entertainment Center in Apple Valley, Minn. David Free (’06) is a product design engineer at Elwood Corp. in Racine. Nathan Panning (’06) is lead of the tax group at BGM in the Twin Cities. Troy Schimek (’06) is a mental health counselor at Parker Mainstreet Pediatrics. Louis Weiher (’98) , second generation owner of Carmel engagement at George Washington University, in Washington D.C.
1960s Ronald Hull (’66) published two short stories. “Damn Black Cat” and “Deep Closet” were included in the Final Twist Writers Society anthology “In the Shadows,” released in April. 1970s Bird Norton Derrick (’70) received an M.Ed. from Idaho State University in 1999 and continued to teach and serve as transition specialist/coordinator at Rigby High School until 2010 when she retired. Daniel Stewart (’70) is working on the National Core Indicatory grant for the Institute on Disability and Community at Indiana University in Bloomington. Jim Maas (’72) retired as a media specialist from UW Stevens Point. Steve Fedie (’74) retired as executive secretary from Wright County Athletic Conference. Kay Manger-Hague (’75) retired after 38 years with the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, including 23 years as director of credentialing operations with the Commission on Dietetic Registration. Blakely Sanford (’76) retired in November after 50 years as a tax preparer. Rachel Aspenson (’79) and Randy Glenn (’81) retired to Wilmington, N.C. Randy worked for 35 years with Sanofi Pharmaceuticals, lastly as a senior director of packaging development, and Rachel taught at various elementary schools. 1980s Jeff Greuel (’81) retired after 40 years of teaching at Little Chute Area School District. Allison Locke Schelitzche (’81) designed and started Babbit’s wine bar, in Sauk Center, Minn. Barry Bauer (’83) was recognized for leading the Lockheed Martin team and received the Distinguished Engineering Project Achievement award by the Engineer’s Council, in Los Angeles.
Lori Hoard Kangas (’84) retired after 39 years of teaching. She was the special education teacher and work experience coordinator for Robbinsdale (Minn.) Area School District. Shelly Spallees Hansen (’85) , educator at John Marshall High School in Rochester, Minn., received the 2023 Hospitality and Tourism Teacher of the Year/ Teacher of Excellence award from the Minnesota Hospitality Association. Doug Jaeger (’85) retired from Kraus-Anderson Construction. He began with the company in 1982 as a field laborer and moved into project management in 1985. Steven Richardson (’85) is director of database development at FAIR Health Inc. Paul Fredette (’89) received Association 2023 Outstanding Middle School Program award for the technology education woodworking program at Balboa Middle School in Ventura, Calif. Eric Kermitz (’89) has worked for Compass Group of North America for 24 years. 1990s John Miller (’90) retired after 32 years of teaching. Most of his career was at West Allis-West Milwaukee School District. Sharon Gearing Wagner (’90) published a debut novel “The Levitation Game” in October 2023. It is a Foreword Review finalist in the Indies Book of the Year award for science fiction. David Reeves (’91) received the International Foodservice Manufacturers Association 2024 Silver Plate award. Jodi Johnson Gibbs (’92) , director of merchandising, is associate of the year at Sharon Young Inc. Cheri Beck Andresek (’93) is senior product developer for Harley-Davidson in Milwaukee. Kris Isaacson (’93) owns Fiber Lab in downtown Menomonie. Heidi Allness Krabbenhoft (’93) is national account manager at Quaker Foods. the California Industrial Technology Education
