If students need to use UW-Stout Rideshare for commuting, for running essential errands, or for making an essential trip outside of the community, please be sure to use these precautions: • If you are feeling sick or have any symptoms, stay at home and do not share a ride with anyone. • Drivers should disinfect their vehicles with an EPA- approved disinfectant for novel coronavirus before passengers enter the vehicle. • All people in the vehicle should wear a cloth face covering. If you have a medical condition that prevents you from wearing a face covering, be sure that all other people in the vehicle are wearing a cloth face covering. • If possible, ask the passenger to sit in the back seat to create physical distance.

We recognize that students and their home communities have different experiences with police and we want to share what to expect when interacting with University Police within the residence halls. University Housing works with University Police for any violations of state or federal law and partners with the police for educational programming and community policing efforts. We will share and talk more about what to expect with University Police once you arrive to campus. In the meantime, if you have any questions about what to expect from University Police while living in the residence halls, please contact University Housing.
