Sports and Fitness Center Renovation & Addition
Ensuring Success
UW-Stout’s Sports & Fitness Center expansion and renovations will be funded entirely through donor support and student-approved fees —not taxpayer dollars. There are numerous ways to support UW-Stout’s Building Champions Campaign. The list below is not exhaustive but is intended to inspire further inquiry. We encourage you to consult with your tax advisor to consider your circumstances, explore the range of gi options, and understand how current tax law affects your financial planning. Gi s of Cash Gi s of cash are the most convenient way of giving. They are fully deductible for federal income tax purposes, provided you itemize your deductions. Pledges UW-Stout’s Building Champions Campaign encourages pledges over a three to-five year period. Pledges enable a donor to plan a giving program that is most convenient and tax-efficient. Matching Gi s Many corporations have matching gi programs in which an employee’s gi may be matched in greater or lesser amounts by the company. Securities Gi s of marketable securities are a convenient and tax-efficient way to benefit UW-Stout. The Development Office will work with you to facilitate this method of charitable giving. Planned Gi s A planned gi could be structured in many ways, including a gi through a bequest included in your will or by naming the UW-Stout Foundation & Alumni Association as your survivor beneficiary of a qualified retirement plan. Other planned gi s with distinct tax advantages include Gi Annuities, Remainder Trusts, Lead Trusts, Life Insurance Gi s, and Real Estate Gi s.
