COOPERATIVE EDUCATION (CO-OP)/INTERNSHIP: Earn while you learn through a for-credit, supervised co-op where you are an employee of an organization. SERVICE-LEARNING: Participate in a course that utilizes community-based service to realize academic and professional goals. STUDENT TEACHING: Enjoy a period of guided teaching with increasing responsibility over time for leading the school experiences of a group of learners.
As a polytechnic, we are committed to ensuring you learn through applied or “hands-on” learning experiences. That’s why they’re infused into the curriculum of every major and 95.8% of our students graduate having completed at least one of these experiences. HANDS-ON LEARNING
CAPSTONE: Work with other students, individually or in groups, to complete an advanced intellectual final project.
RESEARCH: Contribute intellectually or creatively to address a disciplinary societal need.
FIELD EXPERIENCE: Apply practical, professional experience with classroom-based education.
