Even before signing your housing and dining contract, you can explore your accommodation and dining options. Our housing team works tirelessly to ensure life out of class is unforgettable no matter where you live, but if you’re coming to Stout with a roommate or looking for a specific learning community, a little planning will make sure you’re ready for room selection in December. What to Expect • Look for room selection instructions in your UW-Stout email in early/mid-November • Room selection will occur on the Housing Gateway in late December. Step 3: Get Ready to Move In! Driving into Menomonie, your Stout experience begins as soon as the iconic clocktower comes into view. You’ll pass rows of flags and banners emblazoned with Stout’s “S” as you pull up to your residence hall. And you’ll enter the main lobby of your new home using your Stout BlueCard for the first time—the first of many firsts yet to come. Get ready to unpack, settle in, and do more on day one. Insider Tip If you did not get your BlueCard before arriving to campus, arrive between 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to get your photo taken with the Campus Card Office. What to Expect • Move-in begins on Thursday, January 22 at 8:00 a.m. • You will check in directly at your residence hall front desk. • Check your email for specific information about your move-in timeline.
