FIRST YEAR EXPERIENCE The First Year Experience (FYE) focuses on bringing out-of-classroom experiences together with your academic future. With activities from intramural teams to study groups, you can foster connections with classmates, advisers and faculty members who are right down the hall or just across the street! FYE students live in one of the south campus residence halls, along with other first-year students who are new to the campus. The emphasis in the FYE halls is to help you adjust to campus life and be a successful student. NEXT EXPERIENCE In your second and subsequent years, you’ll move to one of our Next Experience Halls, many of which are located on north campus. Events, activities, and opportunities that enrich your college experience continue, and you will build upon your growing success that started in an FYE hall. Students living in a Next Experience Hall live with other upperclass students and will benefit from programs geared toward helping them take the next steps in their professional career.
