Annual and Endowed Scholarships

University of Wisconsin-Stout Psychology Scholarship Funding for the UW-Stout Psychology Scholarship was provided through contributions of alumni, faculty, Psi Chi and the Psychology Club. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior psychology major with a 3.0 GPA. The annual award is $500. Leila Coleman Katherine Berns Van Donk Endowed Scholarship The Katherine Berns Van Donk Scholarship was established by Evelyn Van Donk Steenbock, a 1925 graduate of UW-Stout. The scholarship is in memory of her mother and acknowledges the encouragement and support Mrs. Steenbock received from her mother as she completed her Stout degree. The scholarship is unrestricted, and the annual award is $500. Alexandre Schroeder Jack Vaughan Packaging Scholarship Jack Vaughan’s connection with UW-Stout began in the early 1960’s with the objective to establish an educational program, modeled after alma mater Michigan State University School of Packaging. He and a group of dedicated packaging professionals envisioned the program to be engineering and technology based to satisfy the needs of Midwest companies for professional packaging competency over an extensive range of business environments. As a result of the group’s efforts a new Industrial Technology program with a packaging emphasis began in 1965. Jack continued his involvement by serving on the industry advisory board and helped develop curriculum by sharing his extensive knowledge and experience related to food, household, medical and converting segments of the packaging industry. Even after a long and successfully career in packaging, Jack continued to give back as adjunct professor beginning in 2006 until his last class in spring 2015. The program is forever grateful for his selfless contributions of time and passion. The annual award is $1,000. Sydney Davis
