2020 Scholarship Reception Booklet

Weidner Center Scholarship Dean Weidner is the founder and owner of Weidner Apartment Homes, a property management firm in Kirkland, Wash. Weidner first became aware of UW-Stout’s real estate property management program when his company recruited some graduates. He indicated the students had outstanding qualifications, and that he wanted to help develop the program further. Weidner’s three-part goal is to broaden the exposure of the program, grow the number and quality of the courses and expand it through giving students incentives to enroll through scholarships. The scholarships are awarded to real estate property management majors with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. The annual awards vary from $500 to $2,500. Weis Memorial Packaging Scholarship Jeff Weis, a 1979 graduate, worked as a packaging sales account manager for over 30 years in the corrugated industry. Jeff’s generosity, integrity, kindness, and humor were qualities that were valued by his many friends and colleagues. This scholarship was established by his wife Pamela Demski Weis, BS 1980, family friends and the Ebert Family Foundation to honor his memory. The endowed scholarship is awarded to a sophomore or junior majoring in packaging with financial need. The annual award is $1,200. Jason Pribnow Henrietta Wells Dietetics Scholarship Henrietta Wells, a 1916 Stout graduate, was a dietitian in veterans’ hospitals for most of her career. Her scholarship is designated for a dietetics major. The annual
