Annual and Endowed Scholarships

SHES Scholarship This scholarship was established through funds from the former School of Human Environmental Sciences to support undergraduate or graduate students in the following majors: dietetics; early childhood education; family and consumer sciences education; food science and technology; hotel, restaurant and tourism management; human development and family studies; MS family studies and human development; MS hospitality and tourism; and MS food and nutritional sciences. The annual award is $700. Kaitlyn Eyerly Helen and Alfred Siever Endowed Scholarship The Helen and Alfred Siever Endowed Scholarship was established through a bequest from their estate to assist students seeking a degree from UW-Stout. Helen Taylor Siever graduated from UW-Stout in 1940 with a degree in family and consumer educational services. The scholarships are unrestricted. Sigma Lambda Chi Scholarship The Sigma Lambda Chi Scholarship was established to recognize outstanding students in the field of construction. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior construction major with a 2.5 GPA and financial need. The annual award is $400. Jacob Breuer Sigma PI Fraternity, Inc. Endowed Scholarship Sigma Pi Fraternity disbanded on the Stout campus, and a portion of the profits received from the sale of the fraternity house provided this unrestricted scholarship. Earl and Shirley Simmons Scholarship Earl and Shirley Simmons established a graphics corporation which they operated for many years. Earl passed away in 1991, and Shirley wished to acknowledge their passion for the graphic communications industry by establishing a scholarship endowment. The scholarship is awarded to incoming freshmen from the Midwest with financial need who are majoring in graphic communications. These scholarships are renewable if a 3.0 GPA is maintained.
