Stout Scholars Award These scholarships recognize outstanding incoming freshmen with a 26 composite ACT score and who rank in the top ten percent of their graduating class. Qualified students are invited to campus to interview for these awards. The $5,000 scholarships are renewable for up to three years, or a maximum of $20,000 per student. Recipients of these awards must maintain high academic achievement to remain eligible to receive the awards for the four years. Providing major financial support for the Stout Scholars Program is the Carol A. Dobrunz Memorial Endowment Fund. Also, many other donors are supporting Stout Scholars as they advance through their college careers. Elsbeth Bandli Benjamin LeMay Nathaniel Bechel Erin O’Brien Kalie Dahl Julia Otten Emily Gustafson Nicole Tellock Henry LeBlanc Nathan Thompson Student Construction Association Scholarship The Student Construction Association (SCA) established an endowed scholarship for students majoring in construction. SCA was organized in the early 1980s and is funded by donations for the work that the organization performs on projects throughout the community. Volunteer labor is donated by the members of the organization. The mission of SCA is to provide professional and social development and community service activities broadening the educational scope of its membership. The scholarship provides assistance to a student who has shown a dedicated interest in SCA and the construction industry as a whole. The annual award is $400. Ryan Arts Gustave B. Swanson Technology Education Scholarship Graduating in 1952 with a B.S. in technology education and in 1957 with a M.S. in vocational education, Gus Swanson spent 30 years teaching industrial arts at both the high school and junior college level. He has established this scholarship to assist technology education majors. The annual awards are $1,400 each.
