Anonymous Donor Scholarship This scholarship was established by a UW-Stout graduate who understands the value of a university degree. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior construction major with an interest in commercial construction, a 3.3 GPA and a financial need. The annual award is $1,000. Daniel Amundson Applied Math & Computer Science 50th Anniversary Endowed Scholarship The Applied Math & Computer Science 50th Anniversary Scholarship honors the foresight and success of the program. More than 10 programs and concentrations have spun-off from applied math and computer science since its inception in 1967. This scholarship was established from generous alumni contributions to honor the history of the applied math and computer science program and invest in its future. The annual award is $1,000. Brendan Blob Applied Science Excellence Scholarship This scholarship was established through gifts from faculty and staff of the applied science program. This scholarship is awarded to an applied science major of sophomore standing or higher with a minimum GPA of 3.25 who demonstrates extraordinary involvement with the applied science program. The annual award is $1,000. Amanda Burger Margaret and Herman Arneson Memorial Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established in honor and memory of Margaret and Herman Arneson. Both believed strongly in the value of a college education, and in making a difference in the lives of people. Margaret taught at Menomonie High School for 20 years and Herman retired from UW-Stout’s biology department in 1976. He was a faculty member who loved UW-Stout, his subject matter, and his students. This scholarship is awarded to an applied science major with a 3.0 or higher GPA, with financial need, and demonstrates leadership in student or civic activities. The annual award is $1,000.
