Stowe N. Badenoch Memorial Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established in memory of Professor Stowe “Tony” Badenoch who passed away August 14, 2012. Tony will be remembered for always infusing a tough yet engaging approach into his classes and encouraging students to meet high standards while remaining true to themselves. He was an adjunct instructor at UW-Stout in the early 1980s and from 1988 until his retirement in 2003, was a professor in the fashion merchandising program which later became retail merchandising and management. This scholarship will benefit retail merchandising and management majors. The annual award is $1,000. Haylee Leonard Garrott and Dewey Barich Endowed Manufacturing Engineering Scholarship This scholarship was established by the family of Dewey and Garrott Barich, both UW-Stout graduates, in their memory. It is awarded to a junior or senior manufacturing engineering major with a 2.5 GPA and financial need. The annual award is $100. Kase Kleinschmidt Elbert L. and Mary Elizabeth Barnhart Endowed Scholarship Elbert and Mary Elizabeth Barnhart established this scholarship to encourage young people to excel scholastically and become leaders in their communities and in their chosen professions. The scholarship recipient must be a junior or senior who has received the Chancellor’s Award at least three times and is involved in community and extracurricular activities and student professional organizations. The annual award is $900. Rex Meikle Carol Smith Barwa Memorial Scholarship Robert Barwa, a 1974 technical education graduate, established this scholarship in memory of Carol Smith Barwa, a 1974 early childhood graduate. Robert and Carol were both first-generation college graduates. This scholarship is for a first- generation college student, majoring in early childhood education or technical education, with a 3.0 or higher GPA. The annual award is $1,000. Paityn Tiefs
