Kara B. Gilbertson Endowed Scholarship Kara B. Gilbertson was a highly motivated person who chose to return to college at UW-Stout to earn a bachelor’s degree in vocational rehabilitation, which would fulfill her desire to help people. In April 2008, she died from a brain aneurysm. Her determination to pursue this goal as an older, nontraditional student is fulfilled by assisting future similar students to accomplish their goals. This scholarship is awarded with a preference to a non-traditional junior or senior vocational rehabilitation major. The annual award is $800. Madelyn Reiland Michael T. Gilbertson Memorial Scholarship Michael Gilbertson died as the result of a car/bicycle accident in 1991. This scholarship was established in his memory and dedicated to promoting career guidance, counseling and career development programs. It is awarded to a graduate student majoring in school counseling. The annual award is $800. Kylie Anderson Roman Gill Endowed Industrial Technology Education Scholarship Byron Dowse III, Roman Gill’s nephew, established this scholarship to honor Roman’s enthusiasm for life and his successful teaching and coaching career in Michigan. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior technology education major with special consideration given to a veteran. The annual award is $350. Alec Kokko-Ludemann Dr. Amy L. Gillett Graduate Endowed Scholarship Dr. Amy L. Gillett was part of UW-Stout from 1990 to 2015, where she held positions as a professor, program director, and interim director of graduate studies. This scholarship was established to encourage graduate studies and is given to a graduate student enrolled in at least six graduate credits, with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher. The annual award is $1,600. Sydney Turner Dr. Douglas D. Gingrich Endowed Scholarship Dr. Douglas Gingrich is a former UW-Stout professor. He established this fund to assist a psychology major who is a Wisconsin resident with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and financial need. The annual award is $800. Danielle Annunziata
