House Specialties Scholarship House Specialities Inc. was created in 1981 by Deanna House, a 1961 Stout graduate, and her husband, George, to publish cookbooks Deanna had written. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior with a 3.0 or above GPA majoring in food science and technology, dietetics, hotel, restaurant, and tourism management, or education. The annual award is $2,500. Karen Fleischmann John and Marjory Hovelsrud Endowed Scholarship John Hovelsrud passed away in 1995. In memory of his successes in sales and marketing, family and friends established this scholarship for a senior student. The annual award is $400. Olivia Duero Barbara Dramburg Howard Dietetics Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established through a bequest from Barbara Dramburg Howard, a 1964 UW-Stout graduate. This scholarship is awarded to a dietetics major with a preference given to a student completing an internship. The annual award is $1,400. Thomas Paine H. Edwin Howe Scholarship H. Edwin Howe, a 1942 Stout graduate, was a professor in the printing department at Cal Poly Tech, San Luis Obispo for many years. This unrestricted scholarship was established in 1989 through his bequest. The annual awards vary. Bridgette Allen Zach Ruf Grace Maurer Cathy Krupp Huppert and Marlin Huppert Family and Consumer Sciences Education Annual Scholarship Cathy Krupp Huppert, a 1959 family and consumer educational services major, along with her husband, Marlin Huppert, established this scholarship in appreciation of the education Cathy received at UW-Stout. Cathy’s education provided a foundation for a successful 30-year career teaching family and consumer education in Reedsburg, Ellsworth and De Pere, Wis. The $1,000 scholarship is available to family and consumer science education majors. Lexie Rick
