Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Paul Frederick Kabot Memorial Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established in memory of Paul Frederick Kabot, (Oct. 13, 1911, to Sept. 24, 1933), by his brother Byron Kabot, who is now deceased. Paul was an excellent student, championship golfer, a gentle man, and much loved son and brother who passed away in his senior year of medical school at the University of Minnesota. This scholarship is awarded to a student with an outstanding academic record and demonstrated financial need. Priority is given to a student enrolled in a pre-medical course of study. The annual award is $2,100. Gervase Thompson Kainski Freshman Scholarship Drs. Mercedes and John Kainski were both UW-Stout faculty. They funded this scholarship to assist an incoming first-year student with potential and financial need. The annual award is $300. Lindsey Niehaus Jessie May Erlin Kaiser Endowed Scholarship A 1911 Stout graduate, Jessie Kaiser established this scholarship fund to assist students majoring in dietetics, food science and technology, early childhood education, family and consumer sciences education, hotel, restaurant, and tourism management, human development and family studies, psychology, or vocational rehabilitation. The annual award is $600. Ashley Minikus John J. and Mary L. Kay-Heisler Education Endowed Scholarship The John J. and Mary L. Kay-Heisler Education Endowed Scholarship is in appreciation of Mary’s 1956 UW-Stout B.S. in home economics education. John and Mary established this education scholarship in gratitude of the education and mentoring she received from her professors in family and consumer science which allowed her to excel in her UW-Extension career. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time education major. The annual awards are $1,000 each. Kylie Amundson Lisa Driver
