2021 Scholarship Reception Booklet

Herbert B. and Clara M. Koolmo Larsen Education Scholarship This scholarship was created with gifts received in celebration of the Larsen’s 65th wedding anniversary in 1993. The scholarship is awarded to an education major in industrial technology or human development. The annual award is $100. Tyler Green Arland M. and Eleanor M. Larson Endowed Manufacturing Engineering Scholarship Arland Larson worked for McDonough Manufacturing in Eau Claire during his lifetime and enjoyed designing and building machinery for the plant. In Arland’s memory, his wife, Eleanor, established this scholarship for talented students majoring in manufacturing engineering who enjoy the challenge of designing and creating. The annual award is $1,100. Evan Zaves Daniel L. and Sally J. Larson Endowed Scholarship Daniel Larson is a 1966, 1967 graduate of UW-Stout. Dan started his career in material handling at Jervis B. Webb in Detroit. After a few years in engineering, he moved to the Twin Cities for a position in sales, and eventually started a company designing and selling material handling systems, which he managed for 25 years. This endowment is a thank you to UW-Stout for a rewarding career, and is awarded to a student from Bayfield or Ashland counties in need of financial assistance. The annual award is $1,200. Robert Smith Russell J. Lasocki Endowed Scholarship Russell Lasocki, a 1981 UW-Stout graduate, was a loyal employee of the university for 20 years as a member of the instructional technology services department. He passed away in 2001 from cancer. Friends and family members established this scholarship in his memory. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior information technology management major with a 2.5 or above GPA and financial need. The annual award is $500. Rachel Erickson
