Annual and Endowed Scholarships
Ralph A. Stevens Industrial Technology Endowed Scholarship Westinghouse, Elliott Valve Division, Houston, Texas, established this scholarship in honor of Ralph A. Stevens, a 1960 UW-Stout graduate and former plant manager. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior engineering technology or management major. The annual award is $400. Madison Wendt Shirley Kay Stewart Memorial Endowed Scholarship Shirley Stewart passed away on October 25, 2003, after a four-year encounter with cancer. She received a Bachelor of Science and two Master of Science degrees from UW-Stout. Shirley began her career at UW-Stout in 1973, working in many capacities for 30 years. This scholarship was established by her husband, Bill, and daughter, Tori, to continue Shirley’s legacy of service. The scholarship is awarded to a junior, senior or graduate vocational rehabilitation or special education major with a 2.5 GPA and financial need. The annual award is $600. Mason Priebe Stout Alumni Reflection Endowed Scholarship Recognizing the need to assist current students and having a great appreciation of the education they received from their alma mater, the reunion classes of 1956- 1958, 1962-1964 and 1971-1975 have combined to establish this endowed scholarship honoring their classes. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher, first-generation student with financial need as indicated via the Financial Aid office. The annual award is $1,000. Paityn Brown Stout Institute Reunion Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established by the classes of 1930 to 1954 during their reunion who believe there is no greater gift than giving to a current student. With the increase in cost of education, scholarships often make the difference in whether a student may or may not complete his/her education. The annual award is $1,100. Rachael Wiley
