2022 Scholarship Awards

Martha Bubeck Schmidt Endowed Scholarship Her “intense interest in young people who are interested in human development and family life” prompted Martha Bubeck Schmidt, a 1934 Stout graduate, to establish this scholarship. Martha received two scholarships while attending UW-Stout and knew that the scholarships made her education during the Great Depression possible. This scholarship is awarded to a student with financial need and a major in dietetics, food science and technology, human development and family studies, psychology, vocational rehabilitation, hotel, restaurant, and tourism management, early childhood education, or family and consumer sciences education.The annual award is $300. Lucy Will Frances Schneider Memorial Scholarship Frances Schneider treasured education, and after her husband’s early death, she returned to UW-Stout to complete her bachelor’s degree. She taught for many years at Menomonie High School. Frances’ children established this scholarship in her memory, and it is awarded to an incoming first-year from Menomonie High School. The annual award is $500. Madeline Ellison Greg Schubert Endowed Scholarship Greg Schubert was an associate professor and director of the Stout Teleproduction Center until his death in 1978. Family and friends established this scholarship in his memory for a graduate student with a training and human resource development major. The annual award is $200. Amanda Hokanson
