Stout University Foundation Scholarships
Clare Talen Scholarship Clare Talen established the Clare Talen Scholarship for students with financial need. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and financial need. The annual award is $1,300. Abigail Borash Jerry and Emma Talen Scholarship Jerry and Emma Talen have been involved in many community and university activities throughout the years. Their scholarship is awarded to a full-time student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher and financial need. The annual award is $1,000. Cara Hicks Kaitlyn Taylor Scholarship The Kaitlyn Taylor Scholarship was initiated by Pete Heimdahl, former professor in the College of Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics, and Bob Meyer, former dean of the College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, and a former UW-Stout chancellor, in honor of Pete’s granddaughter who passed away. This scholarship is awarded to a student who participated in the UW-Stout STEPS for Girls program. Clara Jahn Lubs and Mary Lubs Thomsen Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established through a bequest froKem the estate of Mary Thomsen, a 1945 Stout graduate. Mary was a dietitian and consultant who wished to support and encourage students pursuing careers in dietetics or food and nutrition. The annual awards vary.
