2022 Scholarship Awards

John G. Vranak PhD. Memorial Endowed Scholarship John Vranak was a former director of the product development concentration in industrial technology at UW-Stout. He passed away March 14, 2006. He began his career at UW-Stout as a student in 1967, and earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in industrial education in 1971 and 1972. He then took a teaching position at Arrowhead High School in Hartland, Wis., where he remained for seven years before returning to UW-Stout in 1979 to teach in the graphic communications department. Vranak was known for his knowledge of and skill at teaching classes in architectural/construction drawing and site engineering. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior construction major who demonstrates the values and work ethics professed by Dr. Vranak. The annual award is $1,200. Luke Lundgren Marion Saari Vukelich Memorial Scholarship Marion Saari Vukelich graduated from UW-Stout in 1950 with a major in home economics education. She taught for many years and established this scholarship through a bequest to provide financial assistance to deserving students.The annual awards vary. Ellie Eklof Halle Weinmann Gus Wall Endowed Scholarship Dr. Wall was a professor of education at UW-Stout for many years. He was also director of admissions for the graduate college. This scholarship provides funds for a graduate student with a major in technology education or career and technical education. The annual award is $900. Kayla Marks Letitia Walsh Fellowship Letitia Walsh, a faculty member at Stout from 1920 until 1944, established this fellowship to enable an individual with an undergraduate degree in family and consumer sciences education to pursue graduate studies in an education major.
