Stout University Foundation Scholarships

Robert F. Cervenka-AnnMarie Foundation Scholarship This scholarship was established in memory and honor of Bob Cervenka and the philanthropic foundation he established. Bob valued higher education and the philosophy of sharing success by giving back, making a difference in communities and lives of people. This scholarship is awarded to a sophomore majoring in mechanical engineering-in the school of engineering who has achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Recipients receive $2,000 per year for three years, provided they meet continued eligibility requirements. Dylan Bosshart Lucas Lirette Anthony Plechacek LeRoy Charlick and Elaine Thomas Charlick Endowed Scholarship LeRoy Charlick earned his bachelor’s degree from UW-Stout in 1935 while striving to finance his education. He taught industrial arts in Michigan schools for 40 years and always encouraged students to further their education. His wife, Elaine, believing in the value of education and understanding the financial difficulties often faced by students, established this scholarship to be awarded to an education major of sophomore standing or above with a minimum GPA of 2.5 who demonstrates financial need. The annual awards are $1,700 each. Reese Millam Payton Schneider Dr. Richard T. and Nancy P. Cheng Computer Science Renewable Endowed Scholarship Dr. Richard and Nancy Cheng established this scholarship as an expression of appreciation for the quality education Richard received from UW-Stout as a graduate student earning his master’s degree in 1962-1963. Dr. Cheng went on to teach at UW-Stout from 1966 to 1969. This scholarship supports outstanding students with a computer science major. Recipients must be a first-year or sophomore students with a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or higher. The annual awards are
