2022 Scholarship Awards

Hill-Johnson-Crislip Family Endowed Scholarship UW-Stout continues to be a big part of the Hill family dating back several generations. Over the decades, UW-Stout enriched their lives with multiple degrees, fulfilling careers and lifelong relationships as a result from being a part of the UW-Stout family. To honor this history, Mary Grube Hill, B.S. 1967, M.S. 1986 and Stephen Hill, B.S. 1968, M.S. 1972, along with their two daughters, Rebecca Hill Crislip, M.S. 2005 and Katie Hill Johnson, B.S. 1997 and their respective husbands, David Crislip, and Brandon Johnson, B.S. 1994, M.S. 2000, created the Hill-Johnson-Crislip Family Endowed Scholarship in 2004. This scholarship is awarded to a junior, senior or graduate student majoring in applied math, computer science, information and communication technologies, hospitality industry, school counseling, or education. The annual award is $1,100. Rex Meikle Connie Jaye Hines Scholarship This scholarship was established by Connie Jaye Hines, 1978 in appreciation of her UW-Stout education and the mentoring she received from her professors. Having come from a single parent family, Connie knows the challenges and struggles that a single parent experiences. She has initiated this scholarship to assist a single parent enrolled as a full-time student with a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher. The annual award is $1,000. Nelly Sajdak Earl and Marion Hoffman Endowed Scholarship Earl Hoffman worked at Banta Corporation for 40 years until his retirement. Earl and his wife, Marion, enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing and watching the birds. Marion passed away in 1995 and Earl on Jan. 20, 2015. They provided scholarship funds through their estate for students majoring in graphics communications and for those who attended a high school in the Wisconsin’s Fox Valley Region between Kaukauna and Neenah.
