Stout University Foundation Scholarships

Donald Kirby Technology Education Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established by Donald Kirby, a 1973 technology education graduate of UW-Stout. This scholarship supports technology education majors who will complete their student teaching experience during the term of the scholarship award. If there are no students who meet the student teaching criteria, then consideration will be given to incoming first-year students who are majoring in technology education. Don is a retired technology education teacher who greatly values technology education programs in middle and high schools. Don’s scholarship will help with moving, transportation and other expenses incurred during a student’s teaching assignment. The annual awards are $1,000 each for a senior. Trisha Haugen Rex Meikle Claudia Knowlton -Chike and Anthony Chike Endowed Scholarship Claudia Knowlton -Chike is a UW-Stout alumna who graduated with a B.S. degree in industrial technology/packaging engineering. UW-Stout was pivotal for Claudia as the faculty, coursework and environment provided for diverse and rich learning. Claudia and Anthony are both strong advocates for education and wish to enable continuous learning. This scholarship has been established with the hope that it will provide needed support for students who have a passion for achieving a college education. The scholarship is awarded to a student with financial need and demonstrated participation and volunteerism. The annual award is $1,000. Emily Doheny
