2022 Scholarship Awards
Kay and Dale Lyndahl Endowed Scholarship Kay Duebner Lyndahl graduated from UW-Stout in December 1963 with a food and nutrition major and a journalism minor. While at Stout, she was editor of the Stoutonia and worked most of her life in these two fields—many thanks to Lloyd Whydotski, her mentor and friend who encouraged her to seek out her talents in both food and journalism, even after retiring, as a volunteer. Kay worked in her field writing for a large calendar company in St. Paul, preparing food for photography, teaching microwave classes in retail stores, serving as the editor for a senior citizens’ newspaper, planning senior meals and developing recipes for meal sites. This shows that you can go for your dream, and it will come back to you the rest of your life. This scholarship supports students enrolled in the master’s program in food and nutrition or the bachelor’s program in dietetics. The annual award is $1,500. Gwendolyn Olson M.O.M.S Endowed Scholarship Marilyn Krause Leccese, a 1974 UW-Stout graduate, and Rick Leccese established this scholarship to honor their mothers for their positive influence on their respective lives.
