2022 Scholarship Awards

Dr. Nancy Murray Retail Merchandising and Management Scholarship This scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Nancy Murray for her tremendous impact on the students in the retail merchandising and management program. Dr. Murray’s passion for students is evident in her focus on experiential learning in order to prepare students for a successful career, her incredible dedication to the Stout Retail Association as the adviser for several years, and her passion for the retail industry she shared with her students by planning and participating in professional events such as the MAGIC Tradeshow, Global Retailing Conference, Experience China, and Trend Forecasting in Europe. This scholarship is awarded to a retail merchandising and management major with a 3.0 or higher GPA who is an active member or board member of the Stout Retail Association (SRA). The annual award is $1,000. Camryn Gettendorf Ron Murray Scholarship James and Helen Murray established this scholarship in memory of their son, Ron, who graduated posthumously with high honors in graphic arts management in 1994. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior cross-media graphics management or today’s equivalent major. The annual award is $300. Cali Scholes Arthur M. Nakatani Endowed Education Scholarship Mrs. Kiyo Nakatani of Hawaii established this scholarship in honor of her son, Arthur, who died in 1989. Arthur received a B.S. in industrial education in 1971 and an M.S. in vocational, technical and adult education in 1972. This scholarship is awarded to first-year through senior education majors, with priority given to students enrolled from Hawaii. The annual awards are $1,200 each.
