2022 Scholarship Awards

Naylor Family Endowed Scholarship With a great love and respect for continued education, along with a desire to assist others, Nancy Perkins Naylor and James M. Naylor, both 1965 UW-Stout graduates, established this scholarship. Retiring after 65 cumulative years teaching in elementary, secondary and higher education, they continue to provide encouragement and support to students through this scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a technology education or family and consumer sciences education major with financial need. A preference is given to an active Chi Lambda or Alpha Phi member. The annual award is $1,000. Anna Johnson Orville and Sylvia Nelson Endowed Scholarship Orville Nelson was a graduate of UW-Stout and a longtime faculty member who understood the importance of a college education in developing productive members of society. This scholarship was established by Orville and his wife, Sylvia, to encourage economically disadvantaged high school students to attend UW-Stout. The scholarship is awarded to an incoming first-year student with demonstrated financial need, with a preference given to students from rural areas and towns. The annual award is $1,900. Vincent Peck John C. Neuenfeldt Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established in honor and memory of John C. Neuenfeldt, a lifelong teacher, mentor and educator. He spent 27 years teaching in the math department at UW-Stout. John passed away Nov. 29, 1995. The scholarship is awarded to an applied math major with a 3.0 or higher GPA. The annual award is $100. Nathaen Wanta Lucy and Mike Nicolai Wisconsin in Scotland Scholarship Lucy and Mike Nicolai are UW-Stout retirees that have been involved in the Wisconsin in Scotland program multiple times. Lucy served as the resident director and Mike taught several communication courses as a resident faculty member. Lucy and Mike found the experiences of Wisconsin in Scotland life changing for students and are dedicated to getting more students involved. Recipients of this award must be enrolled in the Wisconsin in Scotland program and have financial need.
