HONORS AND AWARDS The UW-Stout Phi Upsilon Omicron chapter, a national honor society in family and consumer sciences and related fields, received 3rd place nationally for their 2021 professional project which was connecting with elderly in the community, hearing their stories, and brightening their days during an isolating time. Several Marketing and Business Education alumni were recognized as 2021 outstanding educators by their state professional associations. • WI Marketing Education Association Teacher of the Year: Ginger Verhulst (McFarland High School) • WI Marketing Education Association Early Career Teacher of the Year: Allison Rigotti (Melrose-Mindoro School District) • WI Educators of Business & Information Technology Lorraine Missling Outstanding Early Career Educator: Colleen Serum (Waunakee High School) Dr. Diane Klemme , Family & Consumer Sciences Education, is the Q Endowed Chair recipient for the 2022-2024 academic years. The recipient of the award receives funding to conduct cross-disciplinary research on a topic related to family and economic stability, career development and technical preparation at all levels, or government regulations affecting education. This is the first year of the award.
