BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN COMPUTER AND ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Learn the most core and cutting-edge knowledge and techniques in CEE. University of Wisconsin-Stout’s Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering prepares you for a variety of careers in engineering. Our faculty work with industry leaders on project designs and developments to help you solve real-world problems with hands-on learning in the classroom and labs. You can design computer systems, apps and smart devices, games or biomedical and health care devices. You’ll gain experience in 5G wireless communications, hardware and software, artificial intelligence and robotics, electronics, and network and security. Through creativity and innovation, you can improve businesses, applications and people’s lives. • You’ll receive specialized training in: • Microprocessors and FPGA boards for embedded system design and digital design • Program and control of FANUC industry robots and PLC automation • Printed circuit board design for electronics systems Our graduates have 100% employment within a year of graduation because of the high demand for well-trained computer and electrical engineers. The starting salary for graduates is the highest of all engineering and science programs, with an average of $72,000. And the median salary in the U.S. is $117,220 per year. 2 CONCENTRATIONS & AUTOMATIC MINORS
With your CEE degree, you can choose from two concentrations with emphasis areas based on your engineering interests and career goals. Both concentrations are ABET accredited. • Computer Engineering: You’ll study computer networks, cybersecurity, embedded systems, machine learning, microcontrollers and microprocessors, game design and wireless communications like 5G. • Electrical Engineering: You’ll study artificial intelligence, automation and robotics, electronics, biomedical and health care instrumentation design, printed circuit boards and programmable logic controllers. AUTOMATIC MINORS You’ll earn an automatic minor through your concentration credits and can add that extra experience and hands-on knowledge to your resume. • Computer engineering graduates receive automatic minors in Math and Computer Science. • Electrical engineering graduates receive an automatic minor in Math and can receive a Computer Science minor with three additional classes.
We also offer a Biomedical Instrumentation minor.
TRANSFER STUDENTS Our program offers a flexible transfer model to help you easily transfer in and apply your credits directly to your CEE degree.

IEEE STOUT STUDENT BRANCH The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers is the world's largest professional association for the advancement of technology. Our IEEE Student Branch provides opportunities to meet other engineering students and engage with professionals.

CEE STUDY LOUNGE We have tutoring available for all of your CEE courses in the CEE Study Lounge in Fryklund Hall. You can meet and study with your peers and senior students, or be a tutor yourself.

HANDS-ON CEE EXPERIENCE STUDENT DESIGN PROJECTS You’ll have the opportunity to conduct research and design products in the on-campus computer and robotics labs. Student projects range from automation and robotics, heart monitors and medical systems, navigation systems for the blind, wheelchair navigation systems, LED lighting and game design.
Our small class sizes give faculty the time to work with you in the labs and in hands-on student-led projects.
