DOCTOR OF EDUCATION IN CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION-LEADERSHIP PROGRAM The Doctor of Education in Career and Technical Education Leadership (Ed.D. CTE-L) is the highest degree awarded at UW-Stout. It was intentionally focused on preparing leaders who contribute to the vision, direction, leadership and administration of educational programs. Additionally, they advance instructional delivery, evaluation within public and private technical colleges, community colleges, and K-12 leadership and coordination, as well as public or private workforce education and training focused organizations and agencies. The Ed.D CTE-L curriculum prepares graduates to advance career, technical and workforce education and training in response to everchanging demands. This program is designed for individuals who aim to shape current and future systems, and drive organizational vision through applied research, strategic planning, and mindful leadership. synchronous seminars) in key courses (19 Credits) while 21 credits are asynchronous online. Eight credits of electives may be taken via the delivery method of the student’s choice, and 12 Credits of dissertation research are completed independently, away from campus, and mentored by the dissertation advisor.
