When choosing your plan, select one closest to your estimated needs without exceeding them. Additional funds can be deposited throughout the semester with unused funds carrying over so you never lose them. When choosing a plan, consider how often you will eat in the cafeteria (food cost only) and other dining locations where you pay full price. Where you dine is the most important factor besides frequency. Remember, dining in the cafeteria is the most economical use of the dining plan.
CHOOSING YOUR PLAN
Which plan is best for you? Use the calculator below to help select the plan that comes closest to meeting your needs.
Consider the following data when estimating usage: Only 10% of hall residents choose to eat breakfast.
Plan 5 is recommended for first-year students until their dining habits are determined. Plan 5 would approximately cover all lunch and dinners in the cafeteria during a semester. It would also provide around half the breakfast meal periods in the cafeterias. On average, 10% of students eat breakfast making this plan a great starting option. Keep in mind, unused dining funds roll forward.
