Recreation Complex The Recreation Complex renovation is an investment in Blue Devils’ health and wellness, and was endorsed by students, athletes, coaches and administration. The project will include a new entrance and addition to increase recreational fitness space, a multiuse gym, relocation of the weight room to create space for three mul tiuse studio gyms, and expanded locker rooms and restrooms to improve conve nience, privacy and accessibility. Much of the project will be funded with student fees, but support from industry and private donors continues to grow. Dallas Pankowski (’60, ’61) and his wife, Edye, committed $5 million, the largest private gift in school history, toward the renovation. Their gift will provide one-sixth of the cost for the $30.5 million project and create a new welcome space named in their honor. The project is expected to be completed in Fall 2027.
