Our Facilities at a Glance
At UW-Stout, student success is the driving force behind everything we do. A pivotal element in achieving this success is providing our students with welcoming, modern, and accessible recreation and athletics facilities. The expansion and renovation of the UW-Stout’s Sports & Fitness Center is an ambitious project and will be the cornerstone of health and wellness at UW-Stout. By fostering excellence in academics, athletics, and personal well-being, we nurture the champions of today and tomorrow. The impact of this renovation extends far beyond our campus boundaries; youth summer camps will offer community children a glimpse of collegiate life and ignite new aspirations. This project reimagines student wellness and community engagement, laying the foundation for a brighter future. UW-Stout students have championed this initiative from the onset, voting to financially support the recreation center. Their commitment of segregated fees gives all students free access to the fitness center and ensures the sustainability of facility operations.

Building a Healthier, Stronger Community
The UW-Stout Sports & Fitness Center expansion and renovation will create a premier venue for sports and events, supporting our student, athletes, and fans in their pursuit of excellence. Critical upgrades are essential for several key reasons. Optimize Space: Expanding and reconfiguring areas will maximize opportunities for cardio and strength training, group fitness classes, and hands-on learning activities. This will ensure all users have ample, accessible, and equitable access to the facilities. Meeting Student Needs: Our students’ recreational needs are diverse and constantly evolving. New and additional studio spaces will support a wider range of activities—from intramural sports to club events and personal fitness routines—to ensure comprehensive support for student and community wellness. State of the Art Facilities: Upgraded cardio and weightli ing machines and new locker rooms are crucial for providing a safe, enjoyable environment for all users. Enhanced User Experience: Welcoming, modern spaces will encourage more students and community members to engage in physical activities that promote a healthier, more active lifestyle. Strengthen Community Partnerships: This project will strengthen our connections with community partners and local schools. By offering enhanced spaces for youth camps, collaborative projects, and community events we will be helping to build future Blue Devil champions and comfortable viewing for Blue Devil fans.
