Boston Scientific Packaging Engineering Scholarship The Boston Scientific Packaging Engineering Scholarship was created to complement Boston Scientific Corporation’s core mission of improving lives through innovation. In keeping with this mission, the Boston Scientific R&D Packaging Department seeks to improve educational opportunities for students within UW- Stout’s packaging program. The scholarship is awarded to a sophomore, junior or senior packaging major with a 3.0 or higher GPA. The annual award is $3,000. Maggie Kendhammer Bida Lou Braker Scholarship Bida Lou Braker’s family and friends established this scholarship to support Stout students working towards a career in teaching. After the early death of her husband, Bida provided room and board to countless Stout students, serving as a mother away from home. The scholarship is awarded to an education major of junior or above standing. The annual award is $400. Olivia Bonlander Donald R. Bredahl Memorial Endowed Scholarship This scholarship was established in memory of Donald Bredahl by his wife and children. Donald was given a scholarship and was therefore able to get his degree from UW-Stout in 1951. He taught industrial education for a few years and then went into manufacturing as a manager in the aerospace industry. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior with financial need who is enrolled in an education major. The annual award is $200. Maria Cruz-Lopez Jean Breisch Scholarship Jean Breisch was an instructor in the Psychology Department at UW-Stout who passed away in 1991. Teaching was her first priority, and she worked ceaselessly for the students. The scholarship is awarded to a female student (30 years or older) in one of the following majors: psychology, vocational rehabilitation, school counseling, marriage and family therapy or clinical mental health counseling.
