Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Earl and Marion Hoffman Endowed Scholarship Earl Hoffman worked at Banta Corporation for 40 years until his retirement. Earl and his wife, Marion enjoyed traveling, gardening, fishing, and watching the birds. Marion passed away in 1995 and Earl on January 20, 2015. They provided scholarship funds through their estate for students majoring in Graphics Communications and for those who attended a high school in the Wisconsin’s Fox Valley Region between Kaukauna and Neenah. The scholarship can be renewed if a 3.0 GPA is maintained. Fulton and Edna Holtby Endowed Scholarship Fulton Holtby was a mechanical engineering professor at the University of Minnesota and a consulting engineer/expert witness in the field of engineering, materials, process and design. He provided scholarship funds through his estate for manufacturing engineering majors with demonstrated financial need. The annual awards are $1,000 each. Trevor Anderson Maxwell Riley Levi Douty Alexander Suelflow Kase Kleinschmidt Morgan Young Shane M. Hopfensperger Memorial Scholarship A 2002 graduate of the UW-Stout construction program, Shane Hopfensperger passed away on February 28, 2004. At the time of his death, he was a project superintendent at the University of Chicago Business School. The scholarship was established by Shane’s family through a fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region. The scholarship provides assistance to an undergraduate construction major with financial need who is a member of the Student Construction Association. The annual award is $500. Jacob Breuer Curtis A. Hostager Industrial Design Scholarship The family of Curtis Hostager established this scholarship in his memory. Curt graduated magna cum laude in 1987 and was an industrial designer at 3M. A sky diving enthusiast, he died in 1991 as a result of an airplane collision. The scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior industrial design major with a 3.25 or above GPA. The annual award is $1,000. Malena Larson
