Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Karen Fladoes Endowed Scholarship Karen Fladoes, a 1912 Stout graduate, was a pioneer in the field of home economics. She died in 1969, leaving a portion of her estate to UW-Stout for scholarships. The annual award is $1,400. Julia Temple Tom Fleming Endowed Scholarship Tom Fleming was chairman of the English department at UW-Stout at the time of his death in 1962. His mother established this unrestricted scholarship in his memory. The annual award is $300. Luke Kallod 40th Reunion (Classes of 1966-1970) Endowed Scholarship This scholarship is funded by the classes of 1966-1970 who celebrated their 40th reunion in the fall of 2007. Through the generosity of Stephen, 1967, and Barbara Burke, the endowment was fulfilled in 2010. This scholarship is awarded to a full-time undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.0 or higher who is involved in extracurricular and/or community activities and has a financial need. The annual Foundation Board Scholarship The Foundation Board Scholarship was established through donations from former Stout Foundation board members to assist students with the pursuit of their university degree. This scholarship is unrestricted. The annual award is $300. Willa Rodencal Freshman Legacy Annual Scholarship It’s something to be proud of when a family makes a tradition of attending UW-Stout. The Freshman Legacy Scholarship honors students who had a family member graduate from or attend UW-Stout. This scholarship is a one-time award for incoming, first-time students who demonstrate a strong connection to the Blue Devil Legacy and have a minimum GPA of 2.5.
