Annual and Endowed Scholarships

Esther and Herman Kolbenschlag Endowed Scholarship Wawa Kolbenschlag Thorson established this scholarship in memory and honor of her parents. She appreciated their love, guidance, and the education which enabled her to be self-sufficient and productive. Recipients are students majoring in early childhood education, family and consumer sciences education, hotel, restaurant, and tourism management, or psychology. The annual awards vary. Elliana Anderson Chau Huynh Danielle Annunziata Allison Maroszek Emma Arlt Connor Ness Megan Hoberg Kelsie Somers Madisen Hullander Callie Woller Ariana Hundt Brittany Zillmer Morley Lynn Kornegor Endowed Memorial Scholarship Tom and Vicky Kornegor established this scholarship in memory of their daughter, Morley Kornegor, who died unexpectedly in 2014. Tom was a UW-Stout graduate and long-time member and past president of the Foundation Board of Directors. Morley was in retail sales management and a very strong believer in community service. This scholarship is awarded to a junior or senior student who is in retail merchandising and management with a GPA of 3.5 or above. Preference is given to a student demonstrating financial need and showing active involvement in community service. The annual award is $1,000. Sydnie Adams Tom and Vicky Kornegor Packaging Scholarship Tom Kornegor is a 1968 UW-Stout graduate and a retired director of package engineering at 3M in St. Paul, Minn. The Kornegors fund this scholarship to assist deserving junior or senior packaging majors. The annual awards are $1,000 each. Alexis Farber Cordelia Franda Luella Kramer Endowed Scholarship Luella Kramer, a 1923 Stout graduate, left a portion of her estate to UW-Stout for scholarships to students of need and promise. The scholarship is unrestricted, and the annual award is $600. Kyle Knitter
